The interior of the Bolling Haxall House has equally distinguished feature. The beautiful carved walnut window and door frames have small colonnettes at the sides leading up to a cartouche in the center of an elliptical arch. The elaborately carved marble mantels and sliding pocket doors are original to the House. Through an anonymous donation, an exquisite artistic design was added to the ceiling of the Front Foyer in the early 1990’s. The wainscoting that lines the wall is solid walnut. The wallpaper is in honor of Queen Victoria.
One notable feature of the interior of the House is the spiral staircase; extending three stories, it is illuminated by a hand-painted glass dome above.
