Thank you again for joining us at The Woman’s Club!
Founded in 1894, the Club has been committed to downtown Richmond for over 130 years. We seek to educate, inspire, and engage our members with programs and content from worlds beyond our own because we know that an open mind is a fulfilled mind. No matter our viewpoints, no matter our backgrounds, we all have a voice. And more importantly, we all have a place at The Woman’s Club.

As We Honor Our Past, Inspire Our Future
Having recently celebrated our 130th anniversary, The Woman’s Club is planning for the future. We are committed to offering quality programs and experiences that enrich the lives of our members. We are proactively growing membership and creating new opportunities for friendship, connection, and learning that are integral to the Club’s mission. We are also striving to increase revenue so that the Club is strong financially moving forward.
To accomplish these objectives and engage our general membership, we are thrilled to have entered the final stretch of our campaign to improve the heart of our Home, the auditorium.
The focus in the remaining months will be on:
Finishing up the repair and cleaning of the original Union Jack windows
New stage curtains installed
Floors in the Auditorium, stage and Fleet Foyer refurbished
Installation of the new speaker system and sound system
New screen and projector installed
New carpet installed on the balcony staircase and balcony
We look forward to welcoming our members to our beautiful new auditorium for the 2026-2027 season. To view the full list of the programs and events that will shape this exciting season, visit the Programs & Events tab of our site.

What should I expect at Monday Programs as a new member?
We will welcome members to the Virginia Museum of History and Culture (VMHC) for the 2025-2026 Monday Program season. Programs will take place right inside the Robins Family Forum, off the main lobby.
You don’t need to register for these programs, but we encourage you stop by our nametag table just inside the auditorium to pick up your TWC nametag! As a new member, you will receive a yellow nametag, although we have permanent nametags available to order both online and in person at the VMHC immediately prior to the start of programs.
The program and following Speaker Reception, held in Halsey Family Hall, is an excellent opportunity to meet other members and the guest speaker of the day.
If you need any assistance at the VMHC, please feel free to stop by the membership table ask any questions you may have!
I cannot always attend a Monday Program in-person. Are there other events?
In addition to the in-person Monday Speaker Programs (October-April), we have a variety of evening, lunchtime, and off-site special events, including trips, lectures, workshops, and parties.
Information regarding all special events can be found in the membership yearbook directory, as well as through the Calendar and Programs & Events tabs of the Member’s Area.
A link to watch the program live, as well as information to view archived programs, are emailed weekly along with Friday’s E-Updates.
Where can I park for events?
Parking options will vary depending on the events. Please make sure to check the location of the event when registering.
During our 2025-2026 season, Monday Programs will be hosted at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture (VMHC) at 428 North Arthur Ashe Boulevard, Richmond, VA 23220. Parking is available behind the VMHC, with entrances from Kensington Avenue and across from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts parking garage (access from North Sheppard Street or Stuart Avenue).
Parking is free for VMHC members. Just scan your membership card at the parking station to enter and exit. Non-member parking fees are $5 for 4 hours and $1 every hour thereafter. Woman’s Club members who do not belong to the VMHC should take a ticket from the parking station to enter the lot and insert the ticket on leaving to pay the parking fee.
Free street parking is available in the area adjacent to the VMHC building.
When are my Annual Dues and one-time initiation fee due?
New members will receive an electronic invoice from the Club within one month of their acceptance notification. If you have not received your invoice within 30 days, please contact our bookkeeper at .
Annual dues for all members are sent in the spring. Please note that all members are given the option of ordering an updated printed member directory for an additional charge as part of their dues, but that this directory is not included in dues automatically.
What do my dues cover? Are there other opportunities to support the Club’s mission?
Annual dues help defray Program costs and the daily operations of the Club. They do not cover improvements or repairs to the Bolling Haxall House or donations to the TWC Scholarship Fund.
While membership dues are not eligible, donations to the Foundation and the Scholarship are both tax deductible.
Are men welcomed to the programs?
Yes, men are invited to attend programs and events as guests.
How do I register for an event? Can I register day-of, or pay on-site?
By visiting either the Calendar or Programs & Events tabs of the Member’s Area, you will find a list of our events, with links to register online. Registration for special events typically close a minimum of one week prior to the event, so we ask that you register and pay in advance to guarantee your ticket(s)!
Can I order a member name tag or yearbook?
Yes, you can order at any time! Nametags are ordered quarterly and cost $10, and yearbooks cost $25. You can order yours online through our Store, or pay by check or cash either in person or by mail.
Yearbooks are printed annually and arrive to the house in early Fall. If you pre-order in our Spring window, they will be shipped directly to you in the mail. For those who miss this window, yearbooks are available for purchase while supplies last in person at the house and at our Monday programs, or over the phone.
